WOA Spring Seminar

The 2024 WOA Spring Seminar, held April 18 - 19, was a great success, with optometrists from across the state, and beyond, gathering for a comprehensive educational experience. We extend our sincere thanks to all the doctors, speakers, vendors, and sponsors whose contributions made this event not just possible but exceptional.

The seminar featured a diverse array of sessions led by industry experts Dr. Mark Dunbar from Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and Dr. Jessilin Quint from Smart Eye Care. Their presentations provided cutting-edge insights into macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye, and much more. Both speakers received high praise from attendees. 

Of course, education extended beyond the classroom walls. A special highlight this year was the poster session, where three residents presented their research, sparking lively discussions and interest among attendees. Vendors packed the exhibit hall, showcasing their latest technologies and products in eye care, and doctors swapped valuable insights and experiences through informal conversations with their peers. These interactions highlighted the irreplaceable value of in-person events, where spontaneous exchanges often lead to breakthroughs in understanding and professional development.

We look forward to building on this year’s success and invite everyone to mark their calendars for next year's seminar, May 1 – 2 at the Wilderness Resort in the Wisconsin Dells. It promises more invaluable opportunities to learn, connect, and grow.
