WOA has been serving Wisconsin Optometrists for over 120 years.

The WOA is the leading advocate for the profession and the main support network for individual member doctors.

WOA members have come to appreciate and rely on the WOA’s education programs, legislative advocacy, political influence, and professional services.

As a volunteer organization, the relationship between the WOA and its members is symbiotic. The association exists for the members, and the members are what keep the association alive.

AOA/WOA serve as the eyes, ears, and voice of the profession when decisions are being made regarding scope of practice, third party billing and coding, access to providers, and patient care issues. 

Each year, decisions are made that have a direct and often long-standing impact on currently practicing and future Wisconsin optometrists and the patients they serve.
